Chez Kane - Chez Kane
Chez Kane is a British rock singer. She is also part with her sisters of the band Kane'd. On March 12, she will release her eponymous debut album produced by Danny Rexon from the Swedish band Crazy Lixx.
Ten songs, well produced, well interpreted, the voice of Chez Kane, undoubtedly made for this kind of music makes us think of the American singers Fiona and Robin Beck. A powerful voice, a close-knit band behind her and ten songs, although they won't change the face of rock, are fun to listen to and are well built, around a solid rhythm section.
The first track Better Than Love is melodic. Even if the keyboards predominate, the guitars are present and the voice of Miss Kane is very pleasant. The saxopone solo is superb. Truly a superb track, made for American radios fond of this kind of music marked 80s.
The second title All Of It, is very rock too. The guitars are thick but Chez's voice doesn't let itself be crushed by this wall of guitar sound. Rocket On The Radio is a rock'n'roll anthem. A lot of guitars too and keyboards which are less present than on other titles. I really like the riff of Get It On, another very, very rock'n'roll song. The backing vocals also sound 80s. Too Late For Love is more melodic rock. Very American, with a chorus that will stick in mind for a long time.
As for Defender of The Heart it will seek its influences towards the rock of the Heart of the 80s. A powerful song, keyboards and guitars which share the space of the sound. A very pleasant mid tempo. Just like Ball n'Chain.
We leave on a hellish train with Midnight Rendezvous on which the lungs of Chez Kane seem to come out of her body because her singing is so powerful. Die In The Name Of Love is a positive song. A bit like Journey's style. A big rhythm section, very present keyboards and guitars playing the melodic rock game. The last track, Dead End Street, is a mid tempo with a bass that hammers the gates of hell. a superb title too which will delight the legions of melodic rock fans. Keyboards of course, a lot of guitars, a nice solo and a sexy sax that lights up the end of the title.
You don't need to have known the 80s (Chez is born in the 90's) to like this kind of album. Melodic and sometimes muscular rock, a very beautiful voice, guitars, keyboards and references of the kind we like. Well done Chez Kane and Danny Rexon.
